Bradford 2 U's 2 - Noah's View Mon 16th Sep 2013 09:51
After a long and uncomfortable bus journey from WHCS, my brain cells were working overtime wondering how our aged legs would ever get us up the steep Hovis advert like hill to the nearest pub. Our upward trudge was momentarily paused when we (eight pals) stood poignantly at the memorial to the 56 fans that died in the Bradford fire.
U's 1 Peterborough 5 - Noah's View Wed 07th Aug 2013 13:41
Never shy of controversy, I believe this game was (tactically) lost in the FIRST half, albeit that the barrage of goals that destroyed us occurred in the second period.
Gillingham 0 U's 1 - Noah's View Mon 05th Aug 2013 12:37
Only two establishments in the Good Beer Guide and dark skies and a little drizzle greeted us in Gillingham. Hence nine of us took refreshment in the 'Frog and Toad' (located a little off the beaten track), with over seven hundred faithful elsewhere, probably supping some Aussie lager, given the morning gloom at Old Trafford.
Colchester United Team Of The Year 2012/13 Fri 17th May 2013 12:00
With thanks to those that voted, we are now able to announce the Best XI elected for our inaugural Colchester United Team of the Year award.
Carlisle 0 U's 2 - Durham's View Sun 28th Apr 2013 21:30
Never in doubt – brilliant warm sunshine, superb performance, magnificent support, overwhelming celebratory scenes at the end. No it was not May 2006 at Huish Park but April 2013 at Brunton Park.
Notts County 3 U's 1 - Gerry's View Mon 15th Apr 2013 20:30
I travelled to Nottingham in much anticipation as this was probably my last match for the season but left somewhat deflated… and it wasn’t the meat pie either! From various discussions with the faithful before the match consensus was very much for the draw and this seemed eminently achievable, even a win was possible as Notts County had four defeats on the trot.
U's 2 Leyton Orient 1 - Noah's View Mon 08th Apr 2013 19:00
A crucial tie demands that match day superstitions be respected, and we set off nervously knowing that none, except choice of underwear, were on the agenda, not even the wearing of U’s colours, courtesy of D.O.M having won us lunch in the lofty heights of the Centennial Suite.
Oldham 1 U's 1 - Durham's View Tue 02nd Apr 2013 08:30
Colchester came away from Boundary Park with a creditable draw but it should have been another win to help ease the relegation fears.
Bury 1 U's 2 - Noah's View Sun 17th Mar 2013 19:30
The U’s dominated this game for three minutes, six seconds from kick off, until George Porter was cynically scythed down and saw red for retaliation. I have since pressed and a dozen times and I cannot see his offence, only an involuntary movement to free a trapped leg.
Hartlepool 0 U's 0 - Durham's View Wed 06th Mar 2013 21:45
Much debate has ensued following last’s night football concerning the standard of refereeing. The curiously named Turkish Official Cuneyt Cakir was lambasted for his decision to send Nani from the field during the Champions League encounter between Manchester United and Real Madrid.
